Sichuan Wangcang Economic Development Zone located in the river valley corridor of Wangcang County has a planned control area of 7.09km2, covering some villages of Jiachuan Town and Shangwu Town and expanding to some villages of Huangyang Town; this zone established with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's Government in December 2012 is the first provincial development zone established by Guangyuan City. The zone is composed of Function Area of Comprehensive Utilization of Coal Resources, Function Area of Machinery Processing Industry Cluster, Function Area of Comprehensive Utilization of Biological Resources and Wangcang Building Materials Industrial Park, Industrial Park of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Huanyang Industrial Park.
Function Area of Comprehensive Utilization of Coal Resources: it is located in Heping Village and Dengta Village of Jiachuan Town and Zilai Village, Shengli Village and Zhailiang Village of Shangwu Town, with a planning land area of 284.78ha; it forms a comprehensive utilization industry chain of "coal-cocking-chemical" mainly relying on the excellent coal resources in Wangcang and coring on the 2x600,000t Coking Project of Wangcang PCG Coking Co., Ltd.
Function Area of Machinery Processing Industry Cluster: it is located in Qingzhai Village of Jiachuan Town; relying on the comprehensive utilization of iron ore resources of Wangcang, the area develops the machinery processing industry dominated by the foundry industry, optimizes and extends the industry chain of "smelting - casting - building materials" and forms an industry cluster led by the foundry industry.
Function Area of Comprehensive Utilization of Biological Resources: it is located in Hongqi Village of Jiachuan Town and Shengli Village of Shangwu Town, with a panning land area of 284.56ha; mainly relaying on the rich special biological resources of Wangcang, the area carries out deep processing and comprehensive utilization and forms a biological industry cluster dominated by deep processing of agricultural and sideline products.
Wangcang Building Materials Industrial Park: it is located in Huangyang Village and Nanxi Village of Huangyang Town, with a total investment of RMB 1.5 Billion and a planning area of 1,700mu; the Phase I covers a land area of 509mu with the investment of RMB 500 Million; it is an industrial park integrating production of building materials products, comprehensive utilization of solid waste of building materials, exhibition, wholesale and retail markets of building materials products, warehousing, logistics and distribution.
Industrial Park of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises: it is located in the Function Area of Machinery Processing Industry Cluster, with a planning land area of 40mu; the new standard plant houses cover 27,600m2; it is equipped with standard park infrastructure and 10 to 20 small and micro enterprises can settle here after its completion.
